Conscious Discipline
A relationship-based approach that focuses on teaching skills rather than punishing behavior. We use Conscious Discipline to build emotional safety, support self-regulation, and create classrooms where every child feels seen, respected, and capable of managing big feelings.
Creative Curriculum

Predictable routines, gentle sensory experiences, and consistent caregivers support healthy attachment, early language development, and foundational motor skills. Each infant follows a personalized feeding, sleep, and play schedule that honors their natural rhythm.
Infant Care (0-12 months)

In our Infant Care program, every day is built on attentive, responsive caregiving. Our Toddler Program supports children 1-3 years old with sensory exploration, music, movement, and language-rich experiences. Grounded in Conscious Discipline and play-based learning, toddlers build independence, practice cooperation, and develop confidence in a thoughtfully prepared environment. We operate at a 1:4 ratio with additional support staff, allowing for the responsive, individualized care this stage of development needs.
Toddler Program (1-3 years)

Our ECEAP program — Washington State's Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program — provides free, high-quality preschool for eligible families with children ages 3-5. In partnership with Spokane Colleges and Akin, ECEAP students at Lilac City learn in the same relationship-based classrooms as every child, grounded in Conscious Discipline, the Creative Curriculum, and play-based learning — with added family support including health screenings, developmental assessments, and connections to community resources.

Children enrolled through EHS experience the same inclusive, high-quality daily program as every child at Lilac City.
